New species of the genus Tmesisternus and Pascoea from New Guinea (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae, Lamiinae, Tmesisternini)

Abstract: Nine new species in the genus Tmesisternus Latreille, 1829 and one new species in the genus Pascoea White, 1855 (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae, Tmesisternini) have been discovered. Four of the Tmesisternus species were found in Papua New Guinea, and five in Papua, Indonesia. The new Pascoea species originates from Papua New Guinea. The species are described and a comparison is made between some similar species.
Rangkuman: Ditemukan sembilan spesies pada Genus Tmesisternus Latreille, 1829 dan satu spesies Pascoea White, 1855 (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae, Tmesisternini). Empat spesies dari Tmesisternus ditemukan di Papua New Guinea, dan lima spesies di Papua, Indonesia. Spesies baru Pascoea berasal dari Papua New Guinea. Spesies dideskripsi dan dibuat perbandingan di antara beberapa spesies yang tampak sama.

Resolving the taxonomic status of Hypochrysops hypocletus Oberthür, 1880
(Lepidoptera: Lycaenidae)

Abstract: Based on molecular as well as on morphological characters, it is concluded that Hypochrysops hypocletus Oberthür, 1880 has to be treated as separate species and
not a synonym of H. polycletus (Linnaeus, 1758): Hypochrysops hypocletus Oberthür, 1880 stat. nov.
Rangkuman: Berdasarkan ciri-ciri molekuler dan morfologis, disimpulkan bahwa Hypochrysops hypocletus Oberthür, 1880 harus diperlakukan sebagai spesies tersendiri
dan tidak merupakan sinonim dari H. polycletus (Linnaeus, 1758): Hypochrysops hypocletus Oberthür, 1880 stat. nov.

New species of Palaioscaria Günther, 1936 (Orthoptera: Tetrigidae, Batrachideinae) from New Guinea
Abstract: Five new species of Palaioscaria are described: Palaioscaria gressitti spec. nov., Palaioscaria telnovi spec. nov., Palaioscaria karimuiensis spec. nov., Palaioscaria sedlaceki spec. nov. and Palaioscaria starmountainsis spec. nov. A key is provided for the identification of all species of this genus and a distribution map is given.

Roodenburgia, a new genus in the tribe Tmesisternini (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae, Lamiinae) with two new species

Abstract: Roodenburgia is described as a new genus in the tribe Tmesisternini Latreille, 1829 from Papua New Guinea, together with two new species: Roodenburgia witjesi spec. nov. and R. schepmani spec. nov. A revised key to the genera in the Tmesisternini is presented.
Rangkuman: Roodenburgia dipertelakan sebagai genus baru termasuk dalam suku Tmesisternini Latreille 1829 dari Papua New Guinea, bersama dengan dua spesies:
Roodenburgia witjesi spec. nov. dan R. schepmani spec. nov. Kunci untuk genus-genus dari Tmesisternini yang direvisi disajikan.

Three new species of Orvasca (Lepidoptera:Lymantriinae) from Papua Indonesia.

Abstract: Three new species of the genus Orvasca Walker, 1865 are described and the genitalia figured. Orvasca yende spec. nov., O. aureomaculata spec. nov., and O. nigericorpus spec. nov. are the only members of the genus recorded from New Guinea.
Rangkuman: Tiga spesies baru dari genus Orvasca Walker, 1865 dipertelakan dan gambar genitalianya disajian. Hanya Orvasca yende spec. nov., O. aureomaculata spec. nov., dan O. nigericorpus spec. nov. merupakan anggota genus tersebut yang ditangkap di New Guinea.

The Arhopala centaurus-group of Evans (1957) in Papua, Indonesia (Lepidoptera: Lycaenidae)
Abstract: Currently available information concerning distribution and taxonomy of the Arhopala centaurus-group in West Papua is reviewed, along with new information concerning Arhopala admete (Hewitson). Arhopala sorena spec. nov. is described as a new species and photographic illustrations of the type specimens of A. kiriwinii, A. hylander and A. philander pratti are given for the first time. Arhopala eucolpis stat. rev. is raised to species rank. A new combination Arhopala eucolpis sudesta comb. nov. is proposed.
Rangkuman: Informasi yang saat ini tersedia menyangkut distribusi dan taksonomi dari Arhopala centaurus-group di Papua ditinjau kembali, sekaligus dengan informasi baru
mengenai Arhopala admete (Hewitson). Arhopala sorena spec. nov. dipertelakan sebagai spesies baru dan foto-foto dari type spesimen dari A. kiriwinii, A. hylander dan A. philander pratti disajikan untuk pertama kalinya. Arhopala eucolpis stat. rev. diberikan status spesies. Kombinasi baru Arhopala eucolpis sudesta comb. nov. diusulkan.

The type locality of Papilio chimaera charybdis van Eecke,
Abstract: August Pulle, Dutch botanist and member of the third Dutch expedition to New Guinea (1912-1913), published a detailed account of th is expedition in 1915. With this
publication it has been possible to clarify the type locality of the holotype of Papilio chimaera charybdis van Eecke, 1915: “Peramelesbivak, Went Mountains, South New Guinea”‘.
Rangkuman: August Pulle, ahli tumbuh-tumbuhan Belanda dan anggota ekspedisi Belanda yang ketiga ke to New Guinea (1912-1913), menerbitkan suatu laporan terperinci dari ekspedisi tersebut pada tahun 1915. Dengan terbitan itu dimungkinkan untuk menjelaskan lokasi holotype Papilio chimaera charybdis van Eecke, 1915: “Peramelesbivak, Went Mountains, South New Guinea”.

Rangkuman: Hasil menangkap Delias secara terus-menerus selama 2013 di Mokndoma dan Wigoduk disajikan, disertai dengan hasil dua perjalanan pendek, satu ke wilayah yang lebih rendah, yang kedua ke tempat pegunungan yang tinggi. Keragaman dan frekuensi spesies yang diperoleh dianalisa. Akhirnya betina D. phippsi mulia yang sebelumnya tidak dikenal, dideskripsi.

A new Utetheisa species from Papua New Guinea (Lepidoptera: Erebidae, Arctiinae, Arctiini)
Abstract: A new species in the genus Utetheisa is described from Papua New Guinea. Utetheisa sedlaceki spec. nov. is known from one female only. The moth and genitalia are described and depicted.
Rangkuman: Spesies baru genus Utetheisa dipertelakan dari Papua New Guinea. Utetheisa sedlaceki spec. nov. hanya diketahui dari betina saja. Ngengat tersebut serta genitalianya dideskripsi dan digambarkan.
